Our Story

We Believe the Best Moments Happen Outdoors

The ones where you feel most alive, the places you challenge yourself, and where you discover what you’re capable of. We couldn't find outdoor apparel that checked the boxes - the kind that looked good, performed brilliantly, and aligned with our love for the planet. So, we decided to make it ourselves.

Made for Women, By Women

We're a small Melbourne-based business committed to encouraging women to get outdoors, whether you identify as ‘outdoorsy’ or not.

From Volcanoes to Raincoats

The idea for Amble was born during a thrilling adventure in Peru. Rhianna, our founder, was scaling Misti, a towering 5,822-metre volcano in the Andes, dressed in gear that was functional but far from flattering.

“I was hiking in some very ugly clothing, it was technically appropriate, but it was so far out of my wheelhouse in terms of what I'd normally wear just going to work or hanging out with friends” Rhianna remembers.

With a background in fashion design, Rhianna set out to design her own line of outdoor apparel which women can feel good in, while also focusing on sustainability throughout the journey.

“You shouldn't need two separate wardrobes just to go into an activity.”

Recycling bottles to raincoats

From day one we’ve been committed to sustainability, from using recycled fabrics, partnering with ethical manufacturers, plastic free packaging and offsetting our carbon footprint.

We've evolved from using 50 per cent recycled materials to 100 per cent recycled fabrics on our fabrics. We also plant a tree for every order made – that’s over 10,000 trees so far!

"Why would I create a brand that encourages you to get outdoors, whilst simultaneously creating clothing from fabrics that have a direct negative impact on the environment?"

- Rhianna, Amble Founder

Community Focused

Through collaborations with Indigenous artists, partnerships with ethical manufacturers, and fostering a supportive community of women adventurers, we aim to inspire more women to embrace the outdoors.

Our Hike Club is a place where women come together to explore and share adventures, while Talk Nights offer a relaxed, welcoming space to swap stories and inspire each other. And with our Adventure Grant, we’re excited to help women turn their outdoor dreams into reality.
